Cultural Carnival
Students of Sadeeqa’s Learning System (SLS) Montessori and High school, Junior Section Lalazar held a great Cultural Carnival for peace and development, says a press release.
Starting with the quote of Quaid – e – Azam the special show began consisting of different medleys, cultural performances, short skits and the students showed diversity one by one on the stage. In the first performance the students dressed up in traditional attires exhibited different regions of Pakistan on a medley of Folk Music.
Performances of Chinese, Indian and Kashmir Valley presented Asian Art beautifully as the students were dressed up in bright shades of red and traditional dresses of India. The next part was the European Art in which Polish, Turkish and German Movements showed their cultures and lifestyles. American and Australian performances showed the Western culture by using umbrellas and fan movements and actions in an effective way.
The students presented a skit Dance performance on diversity and acceptance to live and let live and they showed that diversity is the art of thinking independently. Similarly a Tableau of different religions of the world shared the same values of peace, tolerance, acceptance and harmony through different practices.
A short poem was presented on peace and the second last performance of Africa showed their culture and concept of Mummies by their marvelous performance. The one hour program was ended by the song of peace in which all participants came to the stage and moved by waving at the audience.
In the end enclosures of all continents awaited the audience exhibiting their traditions, cuisines and lifestyle. Special funfair was arranged in the school which had a variety of eatables and refreshments for the parents and the audience.
